What We Do
The CWWPA is made up of local people from the West Ward led by an executive committee. All members work on a voluntary basis to help achieve beneficial outcomes for the community.
Our major areas of activity are:
being alert to, and offering a focus for, community-led issues and action
organising topical and informative public meetings for members and interested members of the public
holding committee meetings to organise action
keeping members informed of local issues and events via email and social media
seeking new members by letterboxing a hard copy newsletter in the West Ward several times per year
seeking local advertisers to underwrite the cost of newsletter delivery.
maintaining effective liaison with our West Ward Councillors, Willoughby City Council, local MPs, planning authorities and relevant government departments as required
working actively with other local Progress Associations, the Federation of Willoughby Progress Associations and other relevant community groups.
