Where is West Ward?
Chatswood West Ward is part of the Willoughby City Council Local Government Area (LGA), located in Sydney’s northern suburbs, and about 9 kilometres from the Sydney GPO.
Chatswood West Ward is one of four wards in the Willoughby City LGA. The other wards are Middle Harbour, Sailors Bay and Naremburn.
West Ward is bounded by Blue Gum Creek, Corina Avenue and Boundary Street in the north; the railway line, Ashley Street, Archer Street, Victoria Avenue and Claude Street in the east; Mowbray Road West and Mowbray Road in the south; and the Lane Cove River in the west. The most representative household in the West Ward is a couple with children (33.4%), followed by couples without children (24.3%) and single dwellers (23.4%).
Over 60% of West Ward residents were born overseas (including 18.6% from China; 5.4% from Hong Kong; and 4.3% from India and South Korea respectively).
